History

Chief Old Sun School was named after leader of the Blackfoot Chief Old Sun from Siksika Nation the late 1800’s.

1976

Na’to’sapi Chief Old Sun School was established in 1976. It was originally located next door to Old Sun College.

1989

Chief Old Sun School opened its doors in the 1989/90 school year in Siksika serving students in K-6.

2004

Extension with upgrades for Chief Old Sun school completed.

Present

Chief Old Sun School current population – 358 students and 40 full-time staff.
